Our volunteers help to care for the community gardens that are located in front of the Roosevelt Neighborhood Center and on East Washington Street across from the Abundant Life church. Our gardens have been providing fresh herbs and vegetables to the community for years.
Arts and crafts allow our seniors to get creative. They enjoy various mediums, such as sewing, ceramics, and beadmaking. We are always looking for different ways for our seniors to get creative!
Exercise is a great way for our seniors to get active. This is a new feature of the senior program!
The seniors engaged in activities that get them out into the community. Some of the field trips include trips to the Farmers Market and JQ Dickinson Saltworks.
We host our annual Heart and Soul Dip Dinner fundraiser at the end of February. Volunteers and donations are welcomed.
Lunch is provided for the senior programs on Wednesdays and Thursdays—special thanks to Trinity Lutheran Church for their contribution to the lunches. Transportation is also provided.
